If you've just installed brand new bathroom lights, you may well be thinking about other ways to upgrade the room's decor to the same standard.
One of the major considerations anyone needs to make when redecorating the bathroom is what type of flooring to use.
According to interior designer Carolyn Parker, one of the most popular choices are stone tiles, but warned these can come with practical issues.
"Stone floors are what everyone wants, but they can be prone to cracking. Because they are a natural product, your floor might not be exactly [the same] as the sample," she said.
However, if you make the right choice, stone tiles can last for a very long time before they need replacing.
"There are certain types of stone - [such as] limestone - that are very, very practical but people are worried about having real stone," said the decor expert.
But for those unsure about stone, ceramic bathroom tiles could be a good alternative.
"The ceramic tiles you can get now are fantastic. They are so realistic - but because they are ceramic, they are less likely to crack and you know what you are getting [as] they are all the same," Ms parker commented.
Whatever your choice, you'll find that installing the right bathroom lights will help to bring out the best of the rest of your decor, including the floors.
Meanwhile, Ms Parker noted that flooring tastes in the kitchen have undergone a change recently, with many homeowners now opting for lighter-coloured wood floors.
"I think people have got slightly bored with all the dark wooden floors, we have seen a lot of limed oak - which is very light and calming and tends to go with a lot of the natural fabric colours that are in vogue. That is a very nice look," she said.
